Don’t You Hate It When…

… the delivery people and the post office tell you that your package will be arriving today, but it doesn’t? This means a whole ‘nother day for me to wait to get my Ipsy shipment! O NOES!

In the meantime, I’ve been toying with the idea of subscribing to Boxycharm. I know it’s $21.00 a month, but they seem to have higher-end things plus they give full-sized items. That means no more messing with foil packets! (Well, at least not from them.) Is it worth the $21.00 more dollars a month, though? (Translation – do I want to spare another bit of money for this?)

Since I don’t have an unboxing for you today, I decided to repaint my nails. It’s a color I would never have picked for myself, but happened to win it in a Zoya giveaway awhile back and simply fell in love with it. From their website:

Lola by Zoya by Zoya can be best described as a ultra-bright warm fuchsia-pink base with strong blue-violet duochrome shimmer. Edgy, bright and eye-catching but still fresh and girly.

Here it is on a previous wearing:

Have fun today!

Author:

Syd is a Midwestern girl who doesn’t think the term “girl” is sexist in the least – especially after she left her 20s. She holds a huge love for history (from WWI through the end of WWII, Victorian, Regency, and Elizabethan eras), some science fiction, and likes to pass the time reading, working with photography and needlework, and writing things. Lots of things. Syd likes to dance, too, but she looks like an utter goob doing so!
